My Birthday.

Today was my 18th birthday and father's day. I feel like this post should be substantial since it's my first. Yesterday, I went to Blue Bayou (water park) with my friends Rachel and Elizabeth. We also went and saw The happening which wasn't as great as I thought if would be. But today I went grocery shopping and got ingredients for a lower-fat oatmeal pumpkin chocolate-chip cookie cake from Vegan with a Vengeance. I subbed the oil for applesauce and omitted the nuts, I also subbed chocolate chips for the raisins (not very low-fat I know, they're just good.) because my Dad has had some health problems and needs an almost no fat diet. Now for the Food Porn:

My sister and brother-in-law came over with my niece and nephew and my nephew was in love with the cookie cake! Success for low-fat vegan cookie cake!

I also received a package in the mail from a vegan snack exchange on veggieboards.com. I got a box of chocolate truffles (delish), strawberry basil conserves, fake beef jerky (Omg, awesome!), a rasberry marinade/dressing and 2 Alternative Baking company cookies. My mom cooked some squash, zucchinni and tempeh with the rasberry marinade, it was delishious! I could've eaten the whole pan! I'm going to have to try some tofu marinated in it as well soon.
